Find My Local Group

Group MapOur individual members are the heart of the John Muir Chapter. We are organized into eight local groups, each with its own officers, activities, programs, and local conservation priorities. We work together on statewide and regional issues, and each group selects a delegate who represents the group members as a voting member of the Chapter Executive Committee.

To find the group nearest to you, click on the Wisconsin map, scroll down or contact the Chapter Office for assistance.

We also have Specialty Groups you can explore here.

Unassigned Areas

The thing that defines a Group is the ability to keep an elected volunteer executive committee assembled and to put out a newsletter. Unfortunately, there are some areas of the state that are either sparsely populated, or where we have few active members. For those of you in this area, you will still receive the Muir View newsletter, and have access to all Chapter and other Group outings and activities, but there is not currently an active Group. We recommend you contact the Chapter Office or the Group nearest you to get involved.
